Winter weddings in Colorado are simply magical; the towering evergreens covered in sparkling, fresh powder, and snow-capped mountains as the picture-perfect backdrop. A common misconception about winter weddings is the style – many brides feel stuck with only two options: all white or Christmas-themed. While we are huge fans of both, we encourage brides to get creative and go beyond the traditional! Katie of Katie Corinne Photography dreamed of creating a winter wedding styled shoot that went beyond the classic all-white wintry or Christmasy wedding.

This classic-meets-modern shoot at Moss Denver combines the venue’s stunning elements with a monochromatic color palette, creating the perfect setting for a cozy winter nuptials. The moss wall, wood elements, and Edison bulbs at Moss Denver mix industrial with woodsy as if you are in a modern-day fairytale. The simple black, white, and grey patterned place settings allowed the organic greenery to be the table’s statement piece, while peppermint stick treats for the guests gave a tiny pop of red without shouting “Christmas”. Favors of scarves and gloves ensure guests are kept cozy & warm during a Colorado winter.

Photographer Katie’s favorite element of the Winter Styled Shoot was the play of lights inside the venue as well as the luxe green cape. She captured each detail with finesse, wouldn’t you agree?
