Hometown: I was born in Detroit, MI, but grew up in Chicago. GO CUBS! That being said, I consider Colorado home.

Passion: Being a Mom is my true passion. It’s the one thing that has come natural to me. I also love coffee shops, learning about spirituality and belief systems, photography, and being a wife.

Personal Bridal Style: Clean lines, simple elegance, sweep train. I’d wear a very different gown than the one I wore five years ago. I would guess I’d say the same thing five years from now too.

Favorite Vacation Spot: I’m an ocean girl. I love everything ocean. I get a lot of energy from the water. I’ve been to 49 states. The only one I’m missing is Alaska. We were supposed to go there for my 50th, but when I read the suggested packing list that included a winter coat and gloves and boots, I opted for Turks and Caicos instead. We rented a house on the ocean and we’re going in May. The idea of a week with my family on the beach is my dream come true.

Perfect Day off: I had this yesterday! Rileigh (my daughter) and I went to Mustards Last Stand and got Vegan hot dogs, picnicked in Wash Park, soaked in the nature, and then spent 4 1/2 hours going through open houses. We came home, worked in the yard, and took the puppies (and kitty) for a long walk. It was truly a perfect day!

You Have to Taste This: Anything without meat. I love food.

I Can’t Live Without: Currently and constantly working on curbing my Starbucks addiction. I can’t live without human relationships. They are my purpose (and I believe our purpose) on Earth. It’s all about spreading love.

Advice for Brides: Do you. Stay respectful to your family and friends, but make sure your wedding is your vision. The morning of our wedding, Jeff and I went to Starbucks and went to our venue in Vail. We sat outside in the rain for 2 hours, talking about what we want our lives to look like and what being married meant to us. It was my favorite part of our whole wedding day.

Favorite Quote: “When you get to Heaven, they’ll ask who’s life you made better. Make sure you have an answer.”

AND “What day is it?” asked Pooh “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh.
AND “Go into the world and do well.  But more importantly, go into the world and do good.” Minor Myers Jr.
AND “Happy Beautiful” (maybe a tattoo in my future)
AND “Be a blessing.” Lynn Crandall (my love language is words of affirmation – I LOVE words)

Hometown:  Well, I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, but lived in a lot of different places growing up – let’s see, Florida, Colorado, California, Utah, and Wyoming. I would call Colorado my hometown because I’ve lived here the longest.

Personal Bridal Style:  I love the classic look. My gown (32 years ago now) was a vintage plain satin gown with little touches of lace and a very long train! I love long trains!

Favorite Vacation Spot:  My husband and I really love to cruise!   We have so much fun and it’s so relaxing.  I would say my favorite vacation spot is wherever a cruise ship can take me.

My Passion:  I love to cook and entertain!   I always pour a lot of love into the food and make sure we always have great wine to pair with it!

Perfect Day Off:  I am really bad at putting too many errands and cleaning the house on my days off.  I like to get as much done on my week days off and then Sunday is for relaxing and cooking family dinner or meeting friends for dinner.

I Can’t Live Without:  My family.  They all keep me grounded and show me so much love!  Love you, Paul, David and Kelli!

Favorite Quote:  “Home isn’t where you live, it’s where you love!”

Hometown: Houston, TX

My Passion: To keep learning new things and growing. Nothing makes me happier than figuring out something I never thought I could do, like play the ukulele.

Community Involvement: Volunteer work with foster care organizations (such as Together We Rise) and animal rescues (Colorado Pug Rescue).

Personal Bridal Style: It depends on the day! But I always lean towards the classic styles with a vintage touch. My dress was a vintage-inspired knee length lace gown by Pronovias, not your traditional style but totally my personality!

Favorite Vacation Spot: Any beach with a tropical drink in my hand.

Perfect Day Off: Taking my dogs for a long walk, brunch, reading a great book which leads into an accidentally long nap, grilling some steaks and drinking red wine, and then everyone piling on the couch to watch a movie.

You Have to Taste This: Any type of pate! Nothing is more decadent and delicious to me than pate and a fresh baguette!

I Can’t Live Without: My husband and dogs.

Advice for Brides: The day goes by so fast that sometimes you don’t even have time to appreciate how your hard work has turned out. So grab your new husband and a couple of glasses of champagne and step outside for a minute alone.  Have a toast to the rest of your life together and look at the beautiful wedding you created, then head back to pull your Aunt away from the microphone.

Favorite Quote: “So fix your eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
