Frequently Asked Questions

What is a gown viewing appointment?

Your gown viewing is the first time you will be trying your gown on since you said YES! This is not an alterations appointment, but a time to see your brand new gown and shop for any accessories still needed.

When should I purchase my accessories?

You can purchase accessories during your initial dress shopping appointment or during your gown viewing appointment, which occurs when your dress arrives in our store. Of course, you can schedule an accessories appointment as well.

When will the wedding dress that I purchased arrive in-store?

Special order dresses typically arrive within 4–6 months of your purchase date. Your stylist will be able to provide a specific date range.

What is a trunk show?

A trunk show gives you an opportunity to see and try on an extended collection of dresses from a specific designer. A trunk show is a special event featuring specific designer collections not always carried at The Bridal Collection. These weekend-long events typically include fresh-from-the-runway gowns that are specially priced for the trunk show. In addition, we usually have fun extras like designer visits, special treats, photo ops, and much more.

What is your payment policy?

We require a 60% deposit for all special order wedding gowns. The balance on your purchase will be due within 14 days of the gown’s arrival in-store or before alterations begin – whichever comes first. We are always willing to discuss payment plans specific to your needs.

What is the price range of your wedding dresses?

Our wedding dresses range in price from about $1,300–$9,850. On average, brides spend between $1,900–$2,900 on their wedding gowns.

Can we take photos during the appointment?

Yes, snap away! Be sure to tag your family, friends, and us using #TBCBride! Likewise, you may see some of our team members walking around and taking photos. We will introduce them and ask for your permission before we take any photos of you.

Sometimes, during a trunk show or when a designer is previewing their new line with us, we are asked to not allow photos. We will let you know if that is the case.

How many people should I bring to my shopping appointment?

We recommend that you invite 1–4 guests when you shop for your wedding gown, however we allow up to 6 guests.  For larger parties, we require an upgraded appointment.  Please call us to learn more about how to reserve a suite to accommodate up to 10 guests (as these suites book up quickly).

We offer special considerations for any guest who is at a higher risk of severe illness due to COVID-19.  Please call to discuss options.

How long is an appointment?

Our appointments range from 90 minutes to two hours so you can enjoy yourself and not feel rushed.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We are currently by appointment only.

When should I start shopping for my wedding gown?

We suggest that you start shopping for your dress eight months to one year before your wedding date.

Need a gown a little quicker? With a variety of in-stock options from The Bridal Collection and our designers, you can still find your dream wedding dress – even if your wedding is right around the corner!

OUR SERVICES

The Bridal Collection is a full service salon meaning that we help brides from beginning to end, including everything from on-site alterations to dress preservation services.

WEDDING DRESS ALTERATIONS

Our master seamstresses have more than 100 years of combined experience ensuring a flawless fit on your big day.

Your first alteration appointment will be scheduled for six to eight weeks before your wedding date. Your second appointment will be three to four weeks before your wedding. If you have someone who will help you get dressed on the day of your wedding, we encourage you to bring them to your second alterations appointment. Remember to bring your shoes with you to both of your alterations appointments! You are not required to have your alterations done in our store. Your stylist will explain the different options available during your shopping experience.

ALTERATIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

The Bridal Collection also offers alterations to brides who purchased their gowns elsewhere or who are seeking to alter an heirloom wedding dress or other accessories. For additional information, please call to schedule an alterations consultation.

CLEANING AND PRESERVATION

Restore the value of your wedding gown and preserve its quality with our cleaning and preservation services.

Cleaning and preservation includes a personalized treatment plan to hand clean and preserve your wedding dress by a nationally recognized service. Your wedding gown and up to three additional items will be preserved and wrapped in unbleached Muslin to protect the fabric’s longevity. Your dress and other items will be shipped back to you in a presentation chest. The preservation of your wedding gown is guaranteed for 100 years (or when the seal on your preservation box is broken).

The Bridal Collection also offers cleaning and preservation services to brides who purchased their gowns elsewhere.

SUBMIT YOUR WEDDING

Congratulations on tying the knot! We love seeing our brides' photos and sharing their love story with other brides! Submit your photos for a chance to be featured on our website, blog, and social media platforms.
