Frequently asked questions

When should I start shopping for my wedding gown?

Ideally, to allow enough time for a special order and alterations, we suggest you start looking six months to a year before your wedding date.

It can be helpful to have already chosen a date and location, but not required. We want this to be one of the happiest and most enjoyable experiences you’ll have during your wedding planning. Allowing yourself enough time is a great way to start.

Don’t have six months or more, or you’re planning an elopement? No worries, we always have a collection of new dresses available for on the spot purchase. Some of the designers also keep styles in stock which we can check for you.

Whatever your time frame is, we can help you find the wedding gown of your dreams.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We will welcome you whenever you come, with or without an appointment. But, there are days when our bridal suites are completely full.

To make sure that you have a bridal suite for trying on and a stylist all to yourself, we recommend calling ahead and booking an appointment.

How long are appointments?

We allow up to two hours for appointments so you can enjoy yourself and not feel rushed.

How many people can I bring to the appointment?

Some brides have always envisioned an intimate appointment with just their mother or a close friend, while others love the excitement and energy of a large group.

Our bridal suites vary in size making it possible to comfortably accommodate brides with only one or two friends or family, as well as brides with a large entourage.

We welcome anyone who is important to you. We love children, they are our legacy. One of our restrooms has a changing table for your convenience.

When making your appointment, please let us know how many guests you are expecting. We will select the bridal suite that best meets your needs.

P.S. We have a big parking lot, so there’s plenty of room for extra guests.

Can I bring my wedding party to shop for their dresses at the same time as I shop for mine?

We want this special time to be everything you’ve imagined. Sometimes your closest family or friends may be out of town, so having everyone fly in at the same time might be best for you.

Let us know when you call for your appointment if this is what you would like to do. We will  choose the right room, or rooms, and allow more time.

We can even help you with an easy and convenient online TUXEDO rental option for your groom and the men in your wedding party.

Can we take photos during the appointment?

Yes, snap away! Be sure and tag your family, friends and us.

Sometimes, during a trunk show or when a designer is previewing their new line with us, we are asked to not allow photos. We  will let you know if that is the case.

What price range are your wedding gowns?

We understand budgets and highly recommend setting a budget for your whole wedding before you beginning shopping for vendors and your clothing.

Having a budget to refer to can lessen the stress factor and keep you, your fiancé and any parents involved all on the same page.

Our wedding gowns range in price from $1,000 to $8,000. The majority of our gowns are between $1,500 and $2,500.

Do I need to bring anything with me when I'm shopping?

If you have a strapless bra, go ahead and bring it, but if not, don’t worry about it, we have ones you can wear while trying on strapless gowns. If you’ve already chosen your shoes then please bring them with you.

If you have been curating a look on Pinterest, we’d love to see it to help guide your shopping experience. You can sign in to our WiFi and share photos with your stylist or email your Pinterest board or images ahead of time to [email protected].

What sizes are your samples?

Our sample gowns* are in sizes 6 to 24. Not every style is in every size, but our collection includes several gowns in each size for trying on.

*Sample gowns are the ones we use for trying on. We have many styles from each of the designers we carry.

Once you’ve found your dream dress, our expert stylists will take your measurements and then advise you on the size to order. The final decision of what size you order is yours. Almost all special order gowns will need some alterations to achieve the perfect fit.

What payment options do you offer?

We require a deposit of 60% for all special order wedding gowns. All balances must be paid before any alterations can begin.

Special order bridesmaids, moms dresses and accessories are paid in full before we order. We understand there can be unusual circumstances. One of our managers is always available to discuss payment plans specific to your needs.

What is a Trunk Show or Preview Show?

During a Trunk Show we will have a larger number of sample gowns from a specific designer. These gowns are only in our store for a limited time.

Usually a Trunk Show includes the most popular styles and the newest styles. Some designers like to test out new styles before they are officially part of their collection and offered to retailers.

We are fortunate to be one of the stores that certain designers use to test new styles. This is a Preview Show. Often times, designers, or their representatives, will be at these shows.

Watch our website and social media for advance notice of these events. They are very popular and usually book out quickly!

When should I choose my veil and other accessories?

Accessories are the icing on the cake. Our stylists are very experienced at pulling together your whole look during your bridal gown appointment. Often, seeing the whole ensemble together helps the bride say “ ‘Yes’, this is my dress!”

Of course, you’re always welcomed back if you need more time to make your final decision.

Keep in mind, some accessories are special order too, and while they don’t usually take as much time as a wedding gown, it can be several weeks.

When will my Special Order wedding gown arrive?

There is a wide variety of delivery times depending on the designer, style,  and the time of year.

If a dress is in stock at the designers we can receive it in less than a month. But most Special Order gowns take anywhere from four to six months.

Brand new styles from a trunk show or Preview show can take even longer. Your stylist will know the estimated delivery time for every gown you try on. After you’ve ordered, the estimate delivery date will be on the invoice.

Do you offer alterations?

We are a full-service bridal boutique which means we will be with you from the first day you come in to shop until your gown is picked up before your wedding.

Part of being full service is offering alterations. We have a very experienced, talented alterations and pressing department to make sure your gown fits well and looks it’s best.  You are not required to do your alterations with us, but we would be honored if you do.  Please click here to see our Alterations.
