Elegant Silverthorne Pavilion Wedding
Where it began
Although they can’t recall exactly the first time they met, Kenzi and Matt can assume it was in a gym somewhere in Eastern Colorado. Back then, Matt was a senior at Limon and Kenzi was a freshman at Simla. While they remember running into one another at various small-town events, there was yet to be a moment where it made sense to pursue each other. “Our reminder that God’s timing is always perfect,” said Kenzi.
However, their story would shortly begin to unfold! It started when the UCCS women’s basketball program played a summer schedule in Denver — just minutes away from where Matt lived. As it turns out, a game lined up perfectly on the weekend of June 22 and 23. Believe it or not, these dates are Kenzi and Matt’s birthdays! While on a hot date to Q’doba before her game, Matt and Kenzi made the discovery that they shared a birthday weekend. They made plans to celebrate together with friends after Kenzi’s game. It was no surprise when it turned into the best birthday ever! After discovering there was something special going on, they spent the rest of the summer watching basketball, playing TopGolf, working on Matt’s first home, and more.
The next summer, a career opportunity led Matt to move to North Dakota. Since he couldn’t imagine life without Kenzi, he asked her to make the move with him. The following two years in North Dakota strengthened their relationship and brought so much joy to their lives! Matt proposed to Kenzi after the first year of living in North Dakota. He popped the question while they were in Las Vegas, just after finishing dinner at the Stratosphere! Of course, Kenzi said yes.
Silverthorne Pavilion Wedding
When it came time to plan the wedding, Kenzi wanted an elegant and mountain feel. In addition, she wanted the big day to be practical and most of all – fun! They said their “I do’s” on a beautiful Colorado day. Their Silverthorne Pavilion wedding ceremony arch was accented by stunning floral design by Flintwood Floral. Her bridesmaids wore gorgeous gold sequin gowns.
Their Silverthorne Pavilion wedding reception was a dream come true. The gold sequin tablecloths added a touch of elegance and glamour, while personalized wooden details provided that classic Colorado feel. The twinkly lights made it feel like they were celebrating under the stars!
Martina Liana Wedding Dress
When Kenzi was trying on wedding dresses at The Bridal Collection, she quickly narrowed it down to her two favorites. She brought all of her bridesmaids in to help her choose. As soon as she saw the looks on their faces, she knew that Martina Liana 1013 was her dress. Kenzi loved her dress shopping experience, saying “Cathy was so helpful and sweet the entire process and truly cared about my wedding and me as a bride.”
Style number 1013 is a stunning sheath wedding dress by Martina Liana. The luxurious bellagio crepe material is adorned with a scrolling lace pattern, resulting in an elevated style for Kenzi’s Silverthorne Pavilion wedding day. She added an elegant fingertip length veil (style V7480 by Bel Aire Bridal). The scalloped edges accented by beadwork paired perfectly with her bridal gown.
