Hometown: I was born in Detroit, MI, but grew up in Chicago. GO CUBS! That being said, I consider Colorado home.
Passion: Being a Mom is my true passion. It’s the one thing that has come natural to me. I also love coffee shops, learning about spirituality and belief systems, photography, and being a wife.
Personal Bridal Style: Clean lines, simple elegance, sweep train. I’d wear a very different gown than the one I wore 5 years ago. I would guess I’d say the same thing 5 years from now too.
Favorite Vacation Spot: I’m an ocean girl. I love everything ocean. I get a lot of energy from the water. I’ve been to 49 states. The only one I’m missing is Alaska. We were supposed to go there for my 50th, but when I read the suggested packing list that included a winter coat and gloves and boots, I opted for Turks and Caicos instead. We rented a house on the ocean and we’re going in May. The idea of a week with my family on the beach is my dream come true.
Perfect day off: I had this yesterday! Rileigh (my daughter) and I went to Mustards Last Stand and got Vegan hot dogs, picnicked in Wash Park, soaked in the nature, and then spent 4 1/2 hours going through open houses. We came home, worked in the yard, and took the puppies (and kitty) for a long walk. It was truly a perfect day!
You have to taste this: Anything without meat. I love food.
I can’t live without: Currently and constantly working on curbing my Starbucks addiction. I can’t live without human relationships. They are my purpose (and I believe our purpose) on Earth. It’s all about spreading love.
Advice for Brides: Do you. Stay respectful to your family and friends, but make sure your wedding is your vision. The morning of our wedding, Jeff and I went to Starbucks and went to our venue in Vail. We sat outside in the rain for 2 hours, talking about what we want our lives to look like and what being married meant to us. It was my favorite part of our whole wedding day.
Favorite Quote: “When you get to Heaven, they’ll ask who’s life you made better. Make sure you have an answer.”
AND “What day is it?” asked Pooh “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh. AND “Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.” Minor Myers Jr. AND “Happy Beautiful” (maybe a tattoo in my future) AND “Be a blessing” Lynn Crandall (my love language is words of affirmation ~ I LOVE words)
