A Surprise Proposal

After meeting on Tinder, it wasn’t long before Zoe and Matt knew they were meant for each other. A few blissful months flew by before they knew they were ready to take the next step.

Once autumn rolled around, Zoe realized she hadn’t had a chance to see the aspen trees changing into their beautiful yellow & gold colors. Since this is one of her favorite things to see, she and Matt planned a trip to Golden Gate Canyon Park. They loaded their dogs into the car and drove up to the mountains. After a directions mishap (nobody is pointing any fingers here), they drove nearly an hour out of the way before arriving at their destination. The unplanned detour was worth every minute! The trees were breathtaking. As Zoe snapped a few photos from the Continental Divide viewing point, she turned to see Matt down on one knee. She couldn’t believe it! In fact, she was so surprised that her immediate reaction was, “Are you serious?!” She said “Yes!” Zoe shared that it was the perfect proposal because it was so Zoe & Matt.

Wedding Dress Shopping in Denver

Zoe’s wedding dress shopping journey began in Oklahoma with Matt’s mom. While they enjoyed their time together, Zoe didn’t fall in love with a dress. About a month later Zoe’s mom visited Denver for Thanksgiving (and let’s be honest – the Gilmore Girls Reunion) so they made a few wedding dress shopping appointments. At this point in her dress shopping journey, Zoe was positive that she would fall in love with a fit and flare or mermaid silhouette wedding dress.

After visiting a few shops around Denver, the mother-daughter duo walked into The Bridal Collection. Zoe immediately sensed something different; she knew this boutique was a step above the rest. Her stylist, Erin, greeted her and asked a few questions to help her understand Zoe’s wedding dress vision. As they browsed the sea of white gowns, they grabbed a few dresses that matched Zoe’s ideal dress. She tried on dress after dress and although many were beautiful, none felt right. Her stylist pulled a Madison James ball gown with a stunning lace pattern. As soon as Zoe saw herself in the ballgown, everything felt perfect! As the cherry on top, it matched beautifully with her grandmother’s veil that Zoe hoped to wear on her wedding day.

Zoe, an aspiring musical theater actress, is originally from Houston, TX. She loves singing, skiing, and snuggling her adorable dogs – Ellie and Sephora. Matt, from Yukon, OK., works in Software Development. He enjoys programming, video games, skiing, and snowboarding. Currently, they are working on watching all of the Marvel TV shows and movies in chronological order.
