Liz found the perfect Justin Alexander wedding dress at…
Wash Park Studio Wedding
Nicole and Anthony wanted their Wash Park Studio wedding to be less of a traditional wedding and more of a family and friends get together while celebrating their love and commitment to one another. Their goal? Small, simple, laid back, and true to them. The traditional aspects of a wedding didn’t matter as much.
Setting a date wasn’t hard at all. When Nicole and Anthony found out they were expecting, they decided to tie the knot on their nine year dating anniversary. They had eight weeks until their Wash Park Studio wedding! No worries! This was what Nicole had always wanted – a short engagement.
Wedding dress shopping
With an eight week timeframe, Nicole began her search for a wedding dress right away! She knew that she’d need to make a timely decision. Although she didn’t have anything specific in mind, she knew what she didn’t want — which was a great place to start. Nicole was open to her bridal stylist’s advice but wasn’t afraid to say “no”. This made the process of wedding dress shopping even easier!
Nicole truly enjoyed the feeling of putting on a wedding dress and seeing herself in a new way. Shopping on her own made her feel empowered; it made the experience all about her and what she wanted. Rather than getting caught up in the opinions of others, she was able to pick a wedding dress that made her feel amazing.
The last Denver bridal shop she went to was The Bridal Collection. Nicole says “Jordan and the entire salon were amazing. I was (and still am) surprised at how attached I am to my dress. It made me see and treat my event as an actual wedding.”
At 23 weeks pregnant, Nicole rocked a Justin Alexander wedding dress (style 88003). The delicately beaded Chantilly lace bodice meets a circular cut chiffon skirt to create an ethereal, truly bridal look.
Wash Park Studio wedding memories
There are two moments from Nicole’s wedding day that she will always cherish.
The first memory was their first look. Since a wedding day goes by so quickly, it’s difficult to truly have a moment to soak everything in. Because they did a first look, Nicole and Anthony captured that isolated moment of seeing each other for the first time. Despite it being a bitter 6 degrees outside, where their first look happened, they didn’t focus on how cold they were — just on each other!
The second favorite moment from her Wash Park Studio wedding was the first dance! As Nicole and Anthony held one another and swayed to their song, it felt as if there was no one else in the room. In a way, it felt like they were floating! The feeling is truly indescribable.
Advice for future brides
“I look back at our wedding day and am in awe of how great it was – I didn’t expect it. Truly, I couldn’t have even dreamed for it to be as perfect as it was. I believe this comes from keeping focus on what the day is truly about, which is celebrating the love and commitment to my now husband. Don’t get caught up in the details, because they won’t matter and not everything will go the way you planned but the best thing you can do is embrace it, smile at it and laugh. The things going “wrong” will only end up being apart of your story and the wonderful memory being created.”
