A Passionate Love Story | The Bridal Collection Real Bride
The Bridal Collection is so excited to announce that we will be starting a new blog series in conjunction with our Wedding Wednesday Brides we feature on Instagram and Facebook! This series will feature our previous brides’ wedding journeys and explore topics like how they met their partner, how they got engaged, what their bridal vision was, and more. Get cozy everyone, Madison’s story is a good one!
How She Met Her Partner
Madison and Brett were set up on a blind date by her college roommate and Brett’s brother. The two happen to be married now (how fun is that)! Brett, however, was living in Kansas at the time. He already had a backpacking trip planned but decided to make a “detour” on his way out of town. The happy couple might argue that Brett’s detour actually set him on the best path of his life. He met Madison for coffee that day and the rest is history!
Her Proposal Story
It was that perfect time of year where the leaves had changed color, but some still remained on the branches. Madison and Brett spent the day exploring the grounds of The Broadmoor. It was then that Brett proposed to Madison and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. They enjoyed the rest of their evening drinking coffee by the fireplace, just soaking in the sunset on a crisp fall day.
Her Wedding Dress Shopping Experience at The Bridal Collection
Madison first came to The Bridal Collection in December of 2021, where master stylist Cathy helped her find a princess wedding dress. Madison wanting to feel like a princess on her day doesn’t surprise us one bit! Her kindness and beauty radiates from the inside out. She loved her entire experience, from shopping the showroom to finding HER dress. Madison stated, “it was so girly and magical as soon as you walked in the doors! I wanted to try everything on!”
What surprised Madison most about the shopping experience was that she found her dress much faster than she expected. She initially didn’t want a strapless wedding dress, but something about the Sottero and Midgley Ryker gown kept calling her back. She loved the 3D floral details on the train and the overall whimsical vibe. She ended up customizing the wedding dress with romantic Juliet sleeves to complete the look! When we asked Madison what her favorite part about the shopping experience was, she responded with, “I loved that I felt like a princess. There are not many moments in life where you get to try on fancy dresses, it truly was so magical and fun!”
Her Wedding Day
Madison’s vision for her big day was a classy aesthetic with a timeless feel. It’s safe to say that she knocked that out of the park, with every small yet impactful detail playing a role. Madison even owns her own floral company, Madison’s Bundle, which provided stunning greenery and intricate flower arrangements for her ceremony. The whole day was as dreamy as can be. Madison wanted it to be a joyful and easygoing day so that everyone felt welcomed. When asked what her most memorable wedding memory was, she replied with, “the moment after we said ‘I do’. Our smiles were huge and we basically danced up the aisle. The nerves were gone and we were so happy to officially be married.”
Madison considers her mom to be one of her best friends, which is why she wanted to honor her by wearing her mom’s veil on her own wedding day. Madison stated that it was not only “the most beautiful veil, but I felt honored to wear it that day.” It was something special shared between just the two of them. All of us at The Bridal Collection live for moments like that and feel honored to have been a part of Madison’s journey.
