It all began freshman year at the University of Denver. Remington and Joel met and became friends. After a year of endless study days and ski trips, they decided to give dating a try. The rest is history! Joel got down on one knee at Beaver Creek (one of their favorite ski resorts – and the location of their first kiss!). Remington was totally surprised and beyond excited to spend the rest of her life with him.

Remington knew she wanted a classic, romantic wedding with a garden feel. She used peach and green with gold accents throughout her details and decor. “The vision came together a large part because of Kate Dalton with Bello and Blue and how she was able to understand my vision and execute it with small details,” she said. They used varying sizes of candles to create a romantic feel and adorned the head table with greenery and draping. 

She and Joel wanted to add their own personal touch, too! They created ski pass escort cards as a nod to their many ski days. Their planner, Kate, created ceremony florals that set the space apart while still maintaining a stunning view of the Rocky Mountains. To set the mood, they hired a string quartet and an incredible band! The entire day felt just like Remington dreamed — she couldn’t have been happier! 

Wedding dress shopping in Denver

Shopping for a wedding dress was something that Remington will always remember. “The atmosphere The Bridal Collection had (between the windows, colors, and encouraging staff) made the experience so much fun. I loved getting the opportunity to try on a variety of dresses to find the style that fit my personality and the style of the wedding.

I was surprised at the variety of gowns The Bridal Collection had and my sales associate’s ability to pick out styles I loved before I even knew that’s what I was looking for! She really had a knack for responding to my reactions and small comments to find a dress that was perfect for me. I didn’t expect to get emotional, but I did get emotional when I tried on my dress with a veil. It made me feel confident, classy, regal, sexy and beautiful all at once! Being able to check all of those boxes let me know it was the one!”

Planning a Castle Pines Golf Club wedding

We asked Remington what her favorite part of planning her wedding was, and her response truly warmed our hearts. 

“One of my favorite parts of wedding planning was getting to do it all with my mom. She and I have always been close- she knew my dream style and vision for my wedding better than I did! I work 60-70 hours a week, so her hard work to put this thing together was critical. I’m so thankful for the time we spent together planning!”
