Ciaran and Alex celebrated the beginning of forever at their colorful modern Space Gallery wedding. Featuring playful details including funky, colorful florals for decor and food trucks, funfetti cupcakes, and corn hole for the guests, it was truly a night to remember!

The Dress

In order to find the perfect wedding dress, Ciaran rounded up her mother, future MIL, sister, and maid of honor. It was important to her to have their moral support as well as their opinions. After visiting two stores, the group arrived at their final stop: The Bridal Collection. The second they walked in, they were blown away by the size, beautiful atmosphere, and warm welcome from the staff.

While meeting with her stylist, she expressed her likes and dislikes. Ciaran knew she did NOT want lace, beading, any level of poof, or strapless. If she envisioned herself on her wedding day, she was wearing the most simple dress she could imagine. Budget was important, however, she was willing to budge a little bit if she found the perfect dress.

As they perused the showroom of beautiful white bridal gowns, they chose dresses that fit her vision. With each gown she put on, her stylist asked what she did like, what she didn’t like, and why. When her appointment started to wind down, Ciaran’s bridal stylist brought out one last dress. It was a Justin Alexander one of a kind dress — which got her attention immediately! This high neck, fitted gown was not only lightweight and comfortable, but featured fabulous details like side cutouts and, to Ciaran’s surprise, beading! The moment she slipped into that dress, she knew it was it. Her bride tribe knee that it was perfect as well. Once they saw how excited and overwhelmed (not to mention stunning) she looked, it was all over.

Most brides begin their dress shopping journey with one dress in mind, and while some end up choosing exactly what they envisioned, more often than not they choose something totally different. When you try on wedding dresses, keep an open mind. You never know what you may fall in love with!

The Details

Ciaran incorporated many personal details in her Space Gallery Denver wedding. She paid homage to her family’s Irish heritage by using traditional harp and penny whistle music during the ceremony. To make it even better, the music was performed by family friends! In addition, she wore her mother’s sapphire earrings (perfect for something blue!) and opal ring (borrowed and old!). She chose to wear Jo Malone Peony & Blush perfume, which is the same perfume her now-husband bought her while traveling in London.

Alex and Ciaran met in college at Ole Miss, so they brought an Ole Miss themed cornhole set for guests to enjoy at the reception. It was a perfect addition to the outdoor patio which kept the kids entertained all night long!

Family traditions are such a wonderful addition to any wedding day. Alex’s family has a tradition of toasting a shot of Maker’s Mark to his grandfather, who passed away in 2016. The entire family got together for a toast to Grandpa Green during the reception, creating a memory they will all treasure.

Because the newlyweds love to travel, they had guests sign a “Guest Map” in lieu of a guestbook. After their best day ever was over, they jetted to Greece for a honeymoon!

Advice for Future Brides

“Your wedding day will be the best day and the fastest day of your life. Soak it up and enjoy every moment. Relax and things will go exactly how they were meant to! I never got my Cheesman Park photos because of rain, but hey, I got some great photos elsewhere! We never got around to playing the anniversary game at the reception, but hey, the night was still everything I could ask for! Your guests might not remember the cake flavor or what your centerpieces looked like, but they will remember how the wedding made them feel. A month later and my guests are still raving about how fun our wedding was. Use your creativity and make the wedding yours. Throw in special touches that stand out and are special to you. Most importantly, have fun! Nothing is better than a glowing, happy, bride!” – Ciaran
