WHAT IS THE NATIONAL BRIDAL SUMMER EVENT?
When you hear “National Bridal Sale Day” or “National Bridal Summer Event,” what comes to your mind? Do you imagine a bridal version of Black Friday sales? Or Monica Gellar from Friends getting in an altercation over a wedding dress?
As bridal stylists, participating in a whole day’s worth of this wonderful experience, we can confidently say it is neither of these descriptions. Rather, it is a magical time to celebrate all brides and provide affordable prices to complete the perfect bridal look.
You can find beautiful, top of the line wedding gowns and accessories at accessible prices. The Bridal Collection helps every bride find their dream wedding dress while also making the shopping experience one to remember.
RINGING IN THE YEAR OF 2022
We saw record-breaking attendance for our 2022 event, with 4:00am being the earliest brides began to arrive. Many happy tears were shed and throughout the salon, small parties celebrated following every “YES! to the dress” moment. In the bridal world, it can be challenging to find a high quality wedding dress within a reasonable price point. However, during our National Bridal Summer Event, we featured brand new wedding gowns by high-end and couture designers, including Martina Liana, Sottero and Midgley, Justin Alexander Signature, Lazaro, The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection, Allure Couture, and more. The deals were unheard of and made it an easy decision for the brides who did not want to break the bank on their dream bridal gown.
The soon-to-be brides waited in the early morning line, and many surprising events occurred. Some of our very own team members challenged the anxious shoppers in several dance offs. In addition, complimentary gourmet coffee from Goodhart Coffee and delicious sweets from Crumbl Cookies were served. And of course, the event wouldn’t have been complete without a variety of raffle items and a fun photo booth area!
As featured on The Bridal Collection’s Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok live streams, we offered sneak peek fashion shows of some of the most exclusive styles within the sale collection. Several brides arrived with a specific wedding dress in mind that they hoped to snag, one in which they had fallen in love with during our previews.
There were also many brides who found their dresses in the other part of our store where our standard bridal appointments were held. There were outstanding National Bridal Sale discounts being offered for all special ordered, customized, and brand new wedding dresses.
We cannot forget about our accessory extravaganza, seeing our hair pieces and lace jackets fly out the door. With prices so low, it would not have made sense to leave without a matching veil and tiara.
WHO WERE THIS YEAR’S BRIDES?
This celebration takes pride in being all-inclusive, offering wedding dress options for all body types, aesthetics, and budgets. We met an array of brides with unique styles and visions.
Some of the most common trends from our brides were those who favored the shimmer and sparkle; ball gowns and mermaid dresses; and conversely, the simple, minimalist wedding gowns in crepe and satin.
Sparkle tulle has made a comeback and is the final touch to creating the princess look. Many of our princess ball gown wedding dresses were some of the first to get purchased, as their gorgeous Swarovski® crystals were hard to miss.
One of our favorites stories from this year’s event came from strangers. Two brides had become friends while standing in line, both having waited for about an hour together. By the time they were greeted at the entrance, they decided to share their appointment. Each bride took turns trying on wedding dresses so they could celebrate one another for how breathtaking they looked. Once it came down to their top choices, they were spotted sharing their “YES! to the dress” moment together.
