“I Felt Like Royalty”

Wedding dress shopping at The Bridal Collection was a highlight in Sam’s wedding planning process. From the moment she walked into the Denver bridal shop, she fell in love! There were so many beautiful wedding dresses that fit the style she was dreaming of. Because she is 6’2”, shopping for clothes is a challenge; she wasn’t sure if wedding dress shopping would be any easier. Thankfully, it was so much fun and she felt comfortable throughout the entire appointment!

After trying on a handful of beautiful wedding dresses, she narrowed her options down to two favorites — one similar to every dress she had saved on Pinterest, and one that was totally different. The deciding factor was when her bridal stylist placed a beautiful cathedral lace veil in her hair. Sam had always dreamed of wearing a long, romantic bridal veil while exchanging vows during her Catholic wedding ceremony. The first dress — similar to her original vision — was PERFECT with the veil. She was sold!

Sam had two priorities when she was looking for her dress: she wanted to feel beautiful and be comfortable. During her wedding dress alterations appointments, her seamstress fitted the gown to her body so it was flattering, but comfortable. Sam said the staff at The Bridal Collection were “so helpful and accommodating. Every time I was there I felt like royalty. (Which is how you should feel in your dress).”

Favorite Moments

When asked about her favorite wedding day moments, three came to Sam’s mind. First, she will always treasure the moment after walking down the aisle in the Catholic church. She and her groom were able to sit down together and enjoy their ceremony while seeing all of their guests.

Another amazing memory was the speeches at the reception. Hearing the best man and maid of honor give their best wishes was so special. As they laughed and cried, it was the perfect way to celebrate their love while surrounded by family and friends.

Finally, Sam will always remember how fabulous all of her Denver wedding vendors were. From the caterer making sure they got the food they wanted (and sending them home with doggie bags filled with mac & cheese!) to the bartenders always keeping their drinks refreshed, to the DJ keeping the party alive all night long. Their photographer, Kristin, made sure to get all the shots they wanted. It was a perfect night!

Advice for Future Brides

“Enjoy the process. The planning process seems long but goes by so fast! And, of course, Pinterest!!! Everyone wants to see pictures of ideas of what you want and it’s great when you can show them many pictures and ideas of what you were envisioning. It also pays off to be honest with what you want to your vendors. We sent our DJ an itinerary we wanted him to follow along with songs we wanted him to play which made the reception night exactly what we wanted. My last advice is to enjoy the day – it goes by so fast! You’ll be nervous but once you see your husband at the end of the aisle everything is perfect.” – Sam
