WHAT IS THE NATIONAL BRIDAL SUMMER EVENT?
When you hear “National Bridal Sale Day” or “National Bridal Summer Event,” what comes to mind? Do you imagine the bridal version of a Black Friday sale? Or perhaps a scene from Bride Wars involving a fierce competition for the ultimate wedding dress?
As bridal stylists participating in this experience each year, we can confidently say it is neither of these descriptions. Rather, it’s a one-day event that celebrates all brides by offering affordable prices on items to create and complete the perfect bridal look.
You can find beautiful, top-of-the-line wedding gowns and accessories at accessible prices. The Bridal Collection helps every bride find their dream wedding dress while also making the shopping experience one to remember.
BREAKING BRIDAL RECORDS
We saw record-breaking attendance last year, with the first bride arriving at 3:00am. Many happy tears were shed, and after every YES! to the dress moment, brides celebrated together as each one left with their dream wedding dress. In the bridal world, finding a high-quality wedding dress within budget can be challenging. However, during our National Bridal Summer Event, we featured brand new wedding gowns from the hottest designers, including Martina Liana, Justin Alexander, Lazaro, The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection, Allure Couture, All Who Wander, Lillian West, Maggie Sottero, and more. The deals were unheard of, making saying YES! an easy decision for brides who did not want to break the bank on their dream bridal gown…or two!
As the soon-to-be brides waited in the early morning line, celebrations broke out. Some of our very own team members challenged the shoppers in several dance-offs. Complimentary gourmet coffee from Goodhart Coffee and Krispy Kreme doughnuts were served. The event wouldn’t have been complete without various raffles and a fun photo booth area!
As featured on The Bridal Collection’s Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts, we offered sneak peeks of some of the most exclusive styles within the sale collection. Several brides arrived with a specific wedding dress in mind that they hoped to snag, which they had fallen in love with during our previews.
There were also many brides who found their dresses in the other part of our store where our standard bridal appointments were held. There were outstanding National Bridal Sale discounts being offered for all special-ordered, customized, and brand-new wedding dresses.
We cannot forget about our accessory extravaganza, with hairpieces and lace jackets flying out the door. With incredible prices, leaving without a matching veil or tiara would not have made sense.
REAL BRIDE STORY
This shopping event takes pride in being all-inclusive, offering wedding dress options for all body types, aesthetics, and budgets. We met an array of brides with unique styles and visions.
Some of the most common trends from our brides were shimmer and sparkle, ball gowns and mermaid dresses, and conversely, the simple, minimalist wedding gowns in crepe and satin. Sparkle tulle is always a must-have and many of our princess ball gown wedding dresses were some of the first to get purchased, as their gorgeous Swarovski® crystals were hard to miss.
One of our favorite stories from last year’s event involves a bride whose determination and excitement made her dream wedding dress shopping experience truly unforgettable. She had been following The Bridal Collection’s social media channels closely, eagerly watching all of our previews and sneak peeks of the stunning gowns that would be featured in the sale. Among all the beautiful dresses, one in particular caught her eye. As soon as she saw it, she knew she had to have it.
She made a beeline for the specific dress she had seen on our Live tour from the day before and headed straight to the fitting room. As she slipped into the dress, it was as if it had been made just for her. The fit was perfect and the look on her face said it all. It fit like a glove! And to her delight, the dress even had pockets! Her friends and family were equally enchanted, and there was a round of applause and joyous laughter as she twirled in the dress.
The magic didn’t end there. Thanks to the incredible discounts at our event, she saved hundreds of dollars on her wedding dress. But the surprises kept coming. She also snagged a beautiful fringe bridal jean jacket and a variety of stunning accessories—all for less than half their original costs. It was a shopping spree she will never forget.
SPECIAL HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2023
- Unbelievable Discounts: A $10,000 wedding dress was included in the sale for only $1,299. The first person in line, who had shopped with us a few weeks prior, found her dream dress discounted from $2,000 to $799!
- Record Inventory: We had the most dresses we’ve ever had as part of the sale, with styles for every vibe and vision, including classic to boho, minimalist to glamorous, and vintage to modern.
- Festive Atmosphere: Brides enjoyed line dancing and complimentary coffee from Goodhart Coffee paired with Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Compass Rose Floral installed a custom floral backdrop for our photo op area and taught brides how to properly hold a bouquet, how to toss one, and more!
- Special Giveaways: The first 20 brides in line received a bridal jean jacket, and every bride in line was entered to win other giveaways.
- Two Dresses for the Price of One: Many brides left with not just one dress but two or more for their rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding reception, and after party. And a lot of them were brand new styles.

Each year presents its own pleasant surprises and unique love stories. The Bridal Collection has adopted this bridal gown sample sale holiday as one of our finest traditions, improving the selection and experience year after year.
