The First Date

Kelsey met Paul on match.com – he was her first date through the website! After chatting a bit, they planned their own first date that led to many more dates.

Fast forward to Christmas of 2016. The two of them went to Iowa to visit Kelsey’s family. After opening gifts, her mom mentioned there was one more gift they had forgotten to open. Her mom handed her the gift while everyone else was cleaning up and putting furniture back. When she opened the gift, the box was empty. Immediately after, Paul got down on one knee and proposed! It was magical – and Kelsey’s photographer sister-in-law captured the whole moment. As it turns out, everyone but Kelsey knew about the proposal. It was a Christmas to remember!

The First Dress

Kelsey’s mom and maid of honor visited Denver for wedding dress shopping and her bridal shower. Because they were in town, she knew she needed to find her dress that weekend. They visited multiple Denver bridal shops, starting with The Bridal Collection. After trying on several beautiful dresses, she found her favorite. This dress featured a beautiful lace-trimmed neckline, ethereal chiffon skirt, and unique back detail, and Kelsey knew she could see herself walking down the aisle in it.

Kelsey wanted to check out a few other stores, but nothing compared to that one special dress. She said “Yes” to the very first dress she ever tried on!

The First Dance

Although there were so many special memories from her Lower Lake Ranch wedding day, Kelsey’s favorite was the first dance with her groom. During wedding planning, Paul decided they should take dance lessons. Their instructor choreographed a dance for them! After a few weeks of practicing, they had it down. When the big day rolled around, they were nervous but confident. Only a few guests knew they had a choreographed dance, so it was a huge surprise! Loving every moment moving to the music together, their performance of “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel, went off without a hitch.
