Tragedy Inspires Compassion and Love -- When all goes…
The Tapestry House Wedding in Denver, Colorado
Winter Tapestry House Wedding
The theme for the wedding was rustic romance. Winter weddings naturally have a romantic element to them (the chilly weather just makes us want to cozy up to the one we love!), so Ashley emphasized that feeling with her wedding details. From the jewel-toned bridesmaid dresses, the pops of rich burgundy in her bouquet, and the cozy fireside photos, every detail came together for a love-filled day.
Finding “The One”… again.
Before she went to any bridal shops, Ashley perused all the wedding dress boards on Pinterest. When she came to The Bridal Collection, she had a stockpile of styles she was dying to try on. However, once she started trying on gowns from her Pinterest boards, she quickly realized she didn’t love how they looked on her. While she was having a great time trying on dresses, nothing struck her as “the one”.
After a few dresses turned out to be nos, her stylist showed her a strapless gown. Ashley was pretty set on not doing strapless, so she hesitated. Once her stylist explained that custom straps could be added to any dress, she became more open-minded about other styles! It only took a few tries before she found the one. Justin Alexander 8862 featured stunning lace detail and the perfect amount of sparkle for her Tapestry House wedding. We’re so honored to be the only bridal shop in Colorado that carries the Justin Alexander collection!
“It was everything I never knew I wanted! If it wasn’t for TBC I wouldn’t have found my dream dress. They knew what I wanted better than I did.”
“I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is.”
The big day finally arrived! To her surprise, Ashley was pretty calm considering it was such a significant event. Initially, Ashley wanted to avoid seeing her soon-to-be husband before the ceremony. But to accommodate their wedding day schedule, they ended up doing a first look. Luckily, it turned out to be such a special moment which she wouldn’t change for the world. Those few moments alone before the whirlwind of the wedding day began are moments she will always treasure.
One aspect of a wedding day that most brides say is their favorite is the vows. Ashley and her husband wrote their own vows, which she would recommend to anyone getting married! They wrote their promises to one another in mini leather notebooks (which they placed in the one year anniversary box during the ceremony!).
Ashley started off with her vows, which were short and sweet — filled with many memories and inside jokes. When it was her groom’s turn, he started with “I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is.” Ashley and the guests burst out laughing at the Forrest Gump reference! The rest of his vows were heartfelt and led to many happy tears. The best part of writing the vows down in books? They can read them anytime they want to remember their perfect wedding day!
Take it all in
“My advice to any bride would be to take several moments and slow down for a second and take it all in. While up at the altar, look at everyone there celebrating you, look at your soon to be husband, look at the venue, the reception, just stop and look for a moment… You spend months and months planning and being consumed by your big day and then sadly the day flies by and is over in the blink of an eye. So stop often and just enjoy it!” – Ashley
