It’s hard to plan your wedding when you can’t leave your house.  And just cause you’re stuck at home doesn’t make you any less of a bride-to-be!  So what is there to do when you can’t go gown shopping or cake tasting?  We’ve put together some wedding projects when you’re burnt out on Netflix, so grab your partner or FaceTime your bride tribe and have some fun!

SCHEDULE A WEDDING PARTY HAPPY HOUR

Just because you can’t leave the house doesn’t mean your social life should suffer!  Schedule a happy hour with your bridesmaids to check in, catch up, and celebrate your upcoming wedding!  Have everyone grab their favorite wine, or your custom wedding cocktail (that’s next!), for a toast from afar.  We use Zoom or Google Hangouts when we host our weekly Bridal Collection happy hour!

CREATE A CUSTOM WEDDING COCKTAIL

Now that you’re not going out for happy hour, why not try a little mixology?  A custom cocktail for the wedding is typically something you and your groom enjoy drinking, so you might already have a bottle at home to use. Try mixing in some fresh fruit, citrus, or flavored soda water to create a fun cocktail for you and your guests.  Here are a few suggestions of easy-to-make cocktails with ingredients that are readily available.

MASTER HAND LETTERING AND CALLIGRAPHY

From expertly addressing your wedding invites to creating a beautifully written seating chart, hand lettering is a skill you can use for your wedding and for years to come.  Don’t worry about not having all the fancy pens!  A good ol’ pencil and eraser will work just fine until you decide that you want to invest in the serious equipment.  We recommend hand lettering workbooks, but until those can be easily delivered, here are some great resources.

No need to pay someone online to make a custom sign for your wedding now that you’ve mastered the art of hand lettering!  Order supplies from an online craft store, and make something personalized that you can keep for the rest of your life!  Here are some amazing ideas from the queen herself, Martha Stewart.

DESIGN A CUSTOM PHOTO BACKDROP

Want instagram-worthy images from your posed wedding photos?  Set up a custom photo backdrop to capture all your guests at your wedding.  You can use paper to create bold, 3D florals or hand paint a backdrop on muslin!  No matter what you do, you can be sure people will line up to have their photos taken in front of it!  Check out 15 amazing ideas from HGTV.

LEARN A WEDDING PARTY DANCE
