Allesondra dreamed of having a rustic ranch wedding in…
The Wedding Pink 2019 at Spruce Mountain Ranch
The Bridal Collection had the immense honor of being a sponsor of The Wedding Pink 2019. For the past several years, we’ve donated wedding dresses to this worthy cause. The Wedding Pink is an annual, heartfelt wedding giveaway package gifted to a couple whose lives have recently been touched by breast cancer. Read on for more information about the organization and for beautiful photos from The Wedding Pink 2019!
The Wedding Pink presented by Cheryl Ungar Gives
Let’s back up for a moment and start from the beginning. When she was a young woman, Cheryl Ungar was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now, she’s a successful photographer on top of being a 28-year breast cancer survivor.
After years of traveling the United States and Europe for her photography career, she formed a non-profit — Cheryl Ungar Gives. In 2010, she felt a tug in her heart to give back to the community that loved and supported her during the scariest days of her life. As a result, The Wedding Pink was born!
Cheryl recently noted, “Launching The Wedding Pink has been one of the most amazing journeys of my life; words cannot describe the feelings I get from organizing these events. Every wedding is as much a gift to me as it is a gift to the couple.”
The wedding pink is held annually in Colorado and provides an opportunity for a deserving couple to have a dream wedding nearly cost free! All in all, the weddings are typically valued at over $40,000. To accomplish this dream day, Cheryl builds a team of some of the top Colorado wedding vendors. These local businesses generously donate their services and products to make The Wedding Pink an event that the couple will never forget.

Sabrina and Rex – The Wedding Pink 2019 Couple
The Wedding Pink 2019 was given to Sabrina and Rex. First of all, the board fell in love with their story and love for one another; in fact, they decided to skip the submission period and surprise them with the happy news as an early Valentine’s Day gift!
Sabrina is a brave, beautiful survivor. She was 27 years old in April of 2016 when she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. After that, she underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, four reconstructive surgeries, and a hysterectomy.
Her now-husband, Rex, is a decorated retired Marine. Throughout their lives (both together and apart), they endured many challenges and always came out stronger. As if that wasn’t enough, they’re also extremely generous, always giving back to the Denver community in many ways.
From the Couple
From the initial application for The Wedding Pink
“I am from Muskego, WI and met my Fiance when he was stationed in Madison WI. I enjoy skiing, climbing, diving and snuggling with my puppies (Fancy Pants of the Meadow is 12 years old but our sweet Bailey is 2 years old ). Rex is a recently Retired US Marine and a Purple Heart recipient. He works at the University of Colorado Boulder, helping Veterans and their families. Rex is a Wildland firefighter and technical rescue volunteer with a local rescue organization in Boulder called Boulder Emergency Squad plus he is active with Team Rubicon. He is my ski/dive/climbing buddy and we love our life :)”
How did you meet?
“Rex was in charge of a Marine Corps unit in Madison WI. We met at a BBQ. Months later we started chatting on social media and one day, I decided to visit him at his new duty station. We fell in love and had been together ever since, surviving his last deployment to Afghanistan, numerous Wildland Firefighting Deployments, Emergency Rescue calls and our fight with cancer.”
Why do you feel that you deserve to be awarded The Wedding Pink 2019?
“It would be an honor to receive this wonderful gift and experience. We haven’t made any wedding plans since his fairytale proposal in March 2017 and it would be a blessing to share this with our closest friends and family. I recently completed cancer treatments and surgeries and this would be an awesome way to make the fairytale complete :)”
To sum it all up, it has been an honor and privilege to play a small role in such an impactful organization over the years. We hope you enjoyed the beautiful photos of Sabrina and Rex’s special day.
