Colorado Ranch Wedding at Spruce Mountain

Allesondra dreamed of having a rustic ranch wedding in the mountains since she was a little girl. When the time came for her to choose a wedding venue, she immediately fell in love with Spruce Mountain Ranch. It had everything she wanted! In fact, she drew inspiration from the Colorado ranch wedding venue. To amp up the cozy cabin vibes, she used tons of candles, hot chocolate for guests (perfect for a freezing day in May!), antler details, lace, and warm color tones. She also took advantage of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces at Spruce Mountain Ranch to make things even more romantic.

Wedding Dress Shopping in Denver

One of the best parts of wedding planning is the journey to find THE dress. Allesondra had been to The Bridal Collection prior to being a bride. While she was helping a friend find a dress, she was amazed by how stunning the shop was. Once it was time to find a dress of her own, Allesondra yearned for the full bridal shopping experience. After visiting a few Denver bridal shops she started to feel discouraged; she wasn’t connecting with her stylists and none of the dresses felt right.

Once she decided to give The Bridal Collection a call, everything turned around. Allesondra says I made an appointment at TBC, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff and my consultant were AMAZING! They made me feel so special and really understood what I wanted. I will always cherish my experience and be so grateful I was able to find a salon that makes you feel right at home.”

The Wedding Day

A big part of Allesondra’s wedding day was the personal details. She and her now-husband created a memory table to honor family members. In place of the unity candle tradition during the ceremony, they had a custom brand made and branded a slab of wood. This went perfectly with the rustic ranch feel! Her groom even created all of their wedding signage and table numbers. All of the thoughtful details came together perfectly.

Guests were taken aback by the unique “ring bearer” — a falcon! One of Allesondra’s father’s friends works at a birds of prey sanctuary which offers “Rings on Wings” — birds of prey that deliver wedding rings. It was such a memorable moment for everyone!

Advice for Future Brides

“The advice I would give to future brides is don’t sweat the small stuff. I am such a perfectionist, and really worried that my wedding team would not execute my vision I hoped for. Come wedding day, I lost my veil, it snowed the day before my wedding (MAY 23?!) we had to move the wedding inside, I was thirty minutes late, forgot information for vendors, and even broke my seating chart! Because I had an outstanding wedding planner and team, I kept my cool and put it in their hands. It was perfect! I would also say take the time to breathe and enjoy it. The process is over before you know it, and looking back now I really didn’t take time to appreciate the process and breathe! Weddings are such a special time, and come and go with a blink of an eye. Don’t overthink the details, delegate tasks to people, and just take the time to enjoy your moment!”
