Whimsical Romance Meets Rustic Charm at Spruce Mountain Ranch

Jamie wanted her wedding to feel romantic and whimsical while highlighting the rustic charm of Spruce Mountain Ranch. By using floral details, neutral colors with rose gold accents, and lighting, her wedding dreams came true!

The Dress

Once she was engaged, it was time to find a wedding dress! Jamie knew she wanted a fall wedding, and since October was only 6 months away she started shopping a week after Nathan proposed. Her bride tribe consisted of her mom, cousins, aunt, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. Talk about support!

Jamie always saw herself walking down the aisle wearing a fitted white gown with a short train and long veil. However, she was open to trying on anything. The Bridal Collection was her third Denver bridal shop of the day, and while she’d seen a few dresses she liked, none of them made her heart sing. She and her stylist picked out 7 or 8 dresses to try on. And the fun began! The first few wedding gowns were stunning, but they just didn’t feel right. However, as soon as she tried on “Summer” from L’amour by Calla Blanche (one of our newer lines!), she fell completely in love. Although it was totally different than what she imagined herself wearing, she knew it was the one! She loved how the unique and flattering color, gorgeous sparkly bodice, dramatic v-neck and low back made her truly feel like a bride.

The Big Day

Some of Jamie’s favorite moments from the wedding day are the things that didn’t go as planned — the ones they’re able to look back on and laugh about. A groomsman who forgot his shoes and had to have them Uber’d to Spruce Mountain Ranch. A bridesmaid who accidentally bought the wrong dress and somehow managed to obtain the right one within less than 24 hours. Finding herself in the middle of a tennis court next to the venue with her father, father-in-law, husband, and Nathan trying to hide her with their jackets so she could remain unseen before she walked down the aisle. Even though these things weren’t part of Jamie’s initial plan, they ended up being the best memories of the day. Their pastor said it best: “I hope for a little something to go wrong on your wedding day. That teaches you to face the challenges, the same as you will have to face throughout marriage.”
