Rustic Mountain Wedding in Keystone Colorado
Where it all began
It all started when Britt met Danny shortly after moving from Los Angeles back to Denver. Back then, Danny worked with one of Britt’s friends. As a result, they met while playing on the same kickball team! In the beginning, they had an instant connection and were great friends.
It wasn’t until three years later that a spark of romance began. While attending a wedding together, they realized there had always been something between them. However, the timing was never quite right. After that wedding, everything seemed to fall into place. The best part? Their relationship began after first building a great friendship!
Rustic mountain style
After Danny proposed and the wedding planning began, Britt knew she wanted mountains, a rustic vibe, and overall simplicity. She envisioned neutral colors with a lot of greenery. When choosing a venue, she hoped for an outdoor wedding in a place that held a lot of meaning. Her vision came to life at her rustic mountain wedding in Keystone, Colorado.
The location was special because Britt grew up skiing in Keystone for most of her life. Tying the knot on top of Keystone Mountain was a complete dream! Using simple, neutral florals (and of course the breathtaking Rockies in the background), the Keystone wedding ceremony was exactly what Britt hoped for.
At the reception, gorgeous wood tables were adorned with green garland and classic, simple table settings. The wedding cake added a Colorado spin on a traditional tiered cake — with mountains, fresh florals, and of course skis!
Wedding dress shopping
After trying on a handful of dresses at local Denver bridal shops, Britt hadn’t fallen in love with any particular gown. In fact, she almost threw in the towel and settled for a dress that she simply liked. However, she decided to make one last appointment. Hoping that trying on more dresses would help her decide on the other gown, she visited The Bridal Collection. As it turns out, fate had other plans!
After getting to know Britt’s personal style and vision for her day, her stylist had an idea. She combined bridal separates by two designers for the ultimate dream gown. First, the “Brody” bodysuit by Martina Liana features a gorgeous lace high neckline. The racerback detail is both flattering and unique! It looked beyond beautiful when paired with the “Effie” skirt by Watters WToo. It was love at first sight – both for Britt AND her mom! She said “yes” that day and the rest is history.
Britt’s dream gown is a perfect example of why we love bridal separates. The options are endless and you can customize your very own gown! Book an appointment to create your own look using bridal separates.
Planning a wedding in Keystone Colorado
“My favorite part of planning a wedding were all the small details that really give your wedding a personal touch. And I’ll never get to plan something that beautiful again. I loved planning a “party” that I would want to attend myself, and tried to make it special for all those involved in our day and our guests. I loved that I could get all of my most important people in one place at the same time. It was all just so much fun!” – Britt
