Cozy Up with these Fall Cocktails

Cool, crisp Denver weather calls for warming up with these cozy fall cocktails. Enjoy while working on some wedding details or cozy up after a day of exploring the most colorful time of year in Colorado. These would also be a perfect way to toast saying “yes” to your dress!

Apple Cider Mimosasapple cider mimosa fall cocktail

What you’ll need:

  • 1 bottle champagne
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

On a small plate, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip champagne flutes in water to wet the rims, then dip in cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill champagne flutes 1/4 full with apple cider, then top off with champagne.

 

Caramel Apple Mulecaramel apple mule fall cocktail

What you’ll need:

  • 1.5 oz Absolut vodka
  • .5 oz caramel syrup
  • 1 oz apple cider

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a mug over ice, top with ginger beer. Garnish with apple fan.

 

Pear Sour

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz pear brandy
  • 2 oz pear nectar / fresh pear juice
  • .75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • .5 oz simple syrup
  • 1 pear slice
  • 1 egg white (optional)

Directions:

Combine pear brandy, pear nectar, lemon juice and simple syrup into cocktail shaker with ice. (If including egg white, add with this step.) Shake and mix well. If egg white was added, be sure to shake vigorously. Strain into martini or coupe glass. Garnish with pear slice.

Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolatehot chocolate fall cocktail

What you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
  • 4 cups whole milk (divided)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream (marshmallows, shaved chocolate, pumpkin pie spice)

Directions:

Measure 1/3 cup of Kahlúa and set aside. In a medium saucepan, whisk together 1 cup of milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk in remaining milk until fully combined. Heat mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and very hot, but not boiling. Whisk in pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice. Continue to whisk and heat mixture. Turn off and move from heat just before mixture begins to boil (do not let it boil). Immediately whisk in Kahlúa. Pour into glasses and top with optional toppings, if desired. Serve.

 

Pumpkin Spice Margarita

What you’ll need:pumpkin spice margarita fall cocktail

  • 1.5 parts Sauza Signature Blue Reposado tequila
  • 3 parts cream
  • .5 part Torani Pumpkin Spice Syrup
  • 1 part simple syrup
  • .5 tsp vanilla extract
  • .25 tsp cinnamon
  • .25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • Extra cinnamon for rimming (optional)

Directions:

Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with cinnamon.

Pumpkin White Russianpumpkin white russian

What you’ll need:

  • 1 oz pumpkin spice Kahlua
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • Fall-colored sprinkles / sugar

Directions:

Rim rocks glass with sprinkles / sugar. Combine Kahlua, vodka, and cream into glass over ice. Stir lightly.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

What you’ll need:

  • 1 oz Bailey’s Pumpkin Spice
  • 1 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
  • 1.5 scoops Vanilla ice cream
  • Cola
  • Mint

Directions:

Combine Baileys Pumpkin Spice, Captain Morgan, and vanilla ice cream in a highball glass. Top with cola and stir. Garnish with mint.
