Sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains make every Donovan Pavilion wedding memorable for all involved. Visitors to Vail Valley during the fall have experienced the magic of aspen leaves changing from vibrant green to a beautiful gold hue. Wanting to emphasize the natural beauty of fall in Colorado, Chelsea and Mike kept their wedding day simple, whimsical, and romantic.

The Magical Dress

Before even trying on a wedding dress, Chelsea knew she wanted to look and feel like a princess when she said her vows. Her dream dress was a non-strapless ballgown with just the right amount of fullness and a little bit of sparkle. After visiting a few Denver bridal shops, she found elements of dresses that she liked but never one that felt right.

However, when she walked into The Bridal Collection with her mom, future mother-in-law, maid of honor, and bridesmaid, she immediately felt a sense of excitement and relief. There was something in her that knew she would find her dress! After she met her bridal stylist and explained what her dream dress looked like, they made their way to the showroom. Among the sea of beautiful dresses, her stylist, Cathy, pulled a Stella York ball gown, saying “this dress is absolutely magical.” And it was! From the moment she put it on, Chelsea knew she had found her dress. It made her entourage tear up, which was icing on the cake!

She had further confirmation she had chosen well when she received endless compliments about how stunning she looked on her wedding day.

Something Borrowed

Chelsea’s maid of honor offered her own wedding veil to be “something borrowed”. Not only was it a beautiful addition to her wedding day look, but it was incredibly special. It was such an honor to include a treasured item from her best friend’s wedding! In addition, Chelsea and her mom each carried a handkerchief that once belonged to her great grandmother. This was her “something old”. Her great grandmother passed away years ago, but carrying a small token to remember her by made them feel like she was there celebrating with them. It was perfect for wiping away all of the happy tears.

Advice for Brides

“Go to The Bridal Collection!! It is truly the best wedding dress shop! Hire a wedding planner! It is worth every penny.  My wedding day, and really the whole wedding weekend, was so fun and stress free, all thanks to Amanda.  We had everything in place so people weren’t asking me any questions, everyone knew where to be and when, and most importantly, Mike and I, along with our friends and family did not have to lift a finger and were able to fully enjoy and be present for the celebration and all of the festivities.”
