Planning the Wedding

She’s a South Jersey girl with friends in D.C., Arlington, and Miami. He’s a born and raised Colorado guy. So when Christine and Reed tied the knot in Philadelphia, over half of their wedding guests traveled to celebrate with them! It was important to the bride and groom that everyone had a great time, making it worth their effort.

When Christine began planning her classic-meets-urban glam wedding, the dress was an important detail for Christine. She chose a gown that was the most glamorous part of her entire wedding.

The Perfect Dress

When she imagined herself walking down the aisle, Christine pictured herself in a wedding dress adorned in lace with beading all over. However, when the time came to try on gowns, she quickly realized that style didn’t fit her personality. After trying on a few different styles, she fell in love with simple, clean gowns with gorgeous plunging necklines. But there was a problem — part of her still had a deep desire for that “wow” factor — lots of sparkle and detail.

On the last day of a three day dress shopping spree with her mom, Christine headed to The Bridal Collection. As she perused the showroom, browsing through the dresses, she was drawn to “Lacy” by Enzoani.  It had the best of both worlds — a sleek, chic silhouette with a dose of glamour in the back. This dress features the softest stretch georgette fabric brought to the next level with a sultry low illusion back.  “Lacy” also has a detachable beaded strap adorned with sparkling beads, stones and a delicate crystal button closure for a gorgeously modern look with an Old Hollywood feel. The moment Christine put this dress on, she knew it was the one!

The First Look

Christine and Reed never had a doubt about doing a first look before the wedding. Not only would it be a special, intimate moment between the two of them, but it also afforded them time to spend with guests during the cocktail hour. Their photographer found the coolest location — on a median right in front of Philadelphia’s City Hall! Reed waited patiently until Christine came up from behind, tapped on his shoulder, and then he turned around to see his bride. The excitement that they both felt was tangible! And the photos? Unlike any other!

Advice for Brides

“Don’t take anything too seriously in regards to the planning. Things will come up that are stressful during planning but at the end of the day, it’s about the love you and your partner have together. Oh, and be yourself. I know that my dress, accessories, and everything that we put together for that day was representative of us as a couple and us as individuals.” – Christine
