Buffie and Chris wanted to say “I do” at a romantic garden-style ceremony. Their choice to have a Pikes Peak wedding was the right decision!

Tea-Length Style

Buffie dreamed of wearing a classic tea-length wedding dress. After browsing different gowns, one particular designer caught her eye. She searched local bridal shops and discovered that The Bridal Collection was an authorized retailer! When she arrived at the Denver bridal shop, she tried on a few different styles. She fell in love with an ensemble of separates that she and her stylist created together. The romantic “Blair” lace bodysuit by Martina Liana paired perfectly with a simple, chic tea-length skirt. To bring it all together, Buffie added a gold satin sash with beaded lace appliques. The best part about bridal separates? Each bride has the opportunity to create a unique, customized look that nobody else has seen!

Disaster Averted

While every bride’s wedding day holds millions of special memories, one moment that Buffie will never forget happened before the ceremony had even started. Once her Matron of Honor was done helping her put on her wedding dress and making the final touches, she had 15 minutes to get dressed herself. As she slipped into her bridesmaid dress, it was immediately apparent that the zipper had completely failed — with only minutes before the ceremony! Luckily, Buffie and Chris chose to get married at Blue Skies Inn — an all-inclusive wedding venue — and the Innkeeper (also wedding coordinator) was at their door within two minutes of a panicked text message! In no time, they sewed the Matron of Honor into her dress, just moments before the processional. While it was stressful at the time, it’s a memory that Buffie will never forget!

Advice for future brides

“There will be something that goes wrong, find the humor in it and move on with the day! The only one expecting perfection is you… that is not a standard to try to achieve with any peace of mind. Just enjoy the day and let your people handle any crisis that comes up. That’s why you surround yourself with them. Trust your tribe.” – Buffie
